A cultural evening in Chennai (Madras) dedicated to the 33rd Anniversary of Armenia’s Independence and the 100th birth Anniversary of Charles Aznavour

On 21 September 2024, the Embassy of Armenia in India, in collaboration with the Honorary Consulate of Armenia in Chennai, organized a cultural evening in Chennai (Madras) dedicated to the 33rd Anniversary of Armenia’s Independence and the 100th birth Anniversary of Charles Aznavour.

The concert featured performances by the London "Klingen" choir and cultural association's artistic director, conductor, tenor, pianist Maestro Sipan Olah, as well as soprano Hayarpi Yeghikyan, violinist Polina Sharafyan, oboist Jack Muradyan, pianist Nikita Demidenko, and Kolkata-based musicians - alto oboist Vache Tadevosyan and cellist Somnath Makhhal. They performed renowned works by Charles Aznavour, Komitas, Aram Khachaturian, Arno Babajanyan, Lazar Saryan, and Robert Amirkhanyan.

Thus, the concert series of the 'Klingen' chamber ensemble in India, organized by the Embassy of Armenia, concluded successfully, generating significant interest among all attendees.
